I bought a 383 Zombie Edition 510 HP, same color as the giveaway, and it runs awesome. The only complaint I have is that it runs so good I had to buy some Mickey Thompson ET SS drag radials to keep it from going sideways.

It starts great, idles bitchen , and looks great. I get complements on it all the time. With my old motor when I went to an event I wouldn't open the hood. Now the first thing I do when I get there is pop my hood open.

I am proud to display my motor.

I know it seems weird buying a motor on the internet from just a picture and brief description, but you get what is promised. Bottom line is couldn't be happier with my motor, and I would purchase from them again.

Reason of review: Good quality.

I couldn't understand why my spark plugs where black, of course the engine was running rich, Duh! The idle was rough also and the car would die at idle in gear.

I seriously doubt they ever had any engine dyno tested because if they ever had done so they would have had results and info. to go by when they go to build the 383 strokers. And some of that info. would be putting a lower numbered power valve in the carburetors is which I personally had to do.

Any engine builder would know that engine vacuum is going to be low with a big cam, normally 5 inches of vacuum would be the case. Well I checked engine vacuum and discovered I was running 3 inches of vacuum and all new Holley carbs like the 3310 come with a 6.5 power valve which means the power valve is opened up and dumping fuel into the engine when the engine is at or below 6.5 inches of vacuum. Dumb *** That explained why car was running rich. Power valve should always be half of total engine vacuum.

With a 6.5 power valve the engine vacuum should be 13 inches. A 2.5 power valve is the lowest they make. So if engine vacuum is 5 inches you put in a 2.5. Well I didn't want to plug up the power valve orifices since I'm running 3 inches of vacuum cuz that would require jetting up carb at least 5 jet sizes which I could do if I wanted to.

So I decided to throw the 2.5 in the carb and now car idles great and doesn't die on me either. BTW, I did have to replace the secondary needle valve cuz it was defective.

There was gas barreling out of the carb when I punched it due to the issue, so I put a new needle valve in and cured that problem. You people need to get your *** together.
